Falconry
Scotland in recent years has seen an increase in the popularity of this sport. As a popular attraction at Scotland’s game fairs throughout the summer, falconry provides hands on encounters with a variety of magnificent birds of prey increasing the numbers of people wishing to be part of this sport.
Arguably the most natural of field sports, watching a peregrine stoop from over 1000ft up on a grouse who is already moving at up 70mph is an amazing sight. The same open seasons apply for hunting with a falcon as with a gun.
